📖 About Us

What began as a dream for a children’s book series — Our Hiro Journey — slowly transformed into something much deeper.

Born from my own walk through chronic illness and pain, the journey with my service dog, Hiro, became more than just a story on the page. It became a lifeline. It became a path of healing, resilience, and connection.

Through sharing Hiro’s gentle guidance and my lived experience, I discovered how powerful storytelling could be — not only for children learning about disabilities, but for the adults and caregivers carrying invisible burdens every single day.

Hiro’s Rising was created from that space — a place where strength is honored, softness is welcomed, and no one has to rise alone. Whether you walk with a service dog or face your battles silently, this is where your story matters. This is where we rise… together.

To create a compassionate, empowering community for individuals living with chronic illness, disability, and emotional overwhelm — and for the caregivers who walk beside them. We are a circle of strength, sharing our stories not in spite of our challenges, but because of them. Here, courage rises in connection, and no one has to walk alone.

A space where resilience is nurtured, vulnerability is honored, and voices are heard — whether walking with service dogs or supported by unseen strength. Even if we get knocked down, we will rise above our circumstances and find a place of victory and strength… together.
